Mewah is a global food and agri-business listed on Mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange Securities Trading Limited since 2010. Today, Mewah’s products are marketed to more than 100 countries and become one of the prominent edible oils and fats businesses with total refining capacity in excess of 3.5 million MT annually.

We are looking for a qualified the Loading Master is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the loading and unloading of vessels at the port. They ensure that all loading activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with port regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspects the cargo to be loaded onto the vessels to ensure it meets the required quality standards and specifications.
2. Verify the quantity, weight, and condition of the cargo, and report any discrepancies to the relevant parties.
3. Collaborates with various stakeholders, including port authorities, shipping agents, vessel crews, and cargo owners, to ensure smooth operations.
4. Coordinate with these parties to schedule vessel arrivals and departures, allocate berths, and handle any issues that may arise during loading or unloading.
5. Ensuring the safety of personnel, vessels, and cargo is a crucial aspect of the Loading Master's role.
6. Enforce safety regulations and procedures, conduct safety inspections, and supervise the implementation of safety measures during loading operations.
7. Oversee the implementation of security protocols to prevent unauthorized access or tampering with cargo.
8. Maintains accurate records of all loading activities, including cargo manifests, vessel details, and loading/unloading reports.
9. Responsible for training and mentoring new employees or providing ongoing training to existing staff.
10. Ensure that all personnel involved in loading operations are adequately trained and updated on safety procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Nautical Engineering or any related major.
2. Have 5 years of experience as Loading Master.
3. Have a valid certification (ANT I-III or Loading Master) is a must.
4. Strong command in English (oral and written)
5. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
6. Strong communication and leadership skills.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Willing to be placed in Dumai, Riau.
