Job Description

- To prevent systems from being attacked

- To stop and/or recover from an attack

- Conduct system security testing prior to deployment

- Conduct system penetration testing and system hardening in regular basis

Technical Skill Requirements

- Technical degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering or maths)

- Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software and networks

- Minimum 1-2 years working experience in IT Security

- Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures

- Familiar with system hardening and penetration testing

- Familiar with ISO27001, PCI-DDS, NIST Standard, Pen-test Framework, etc

- Familiar with security attack and defence technologies, and have a deep understanding of network security, system security, and application security

- Familiar with multiple OS, Linux, Windows and etc

- Experience handling antivirus, malware protection

- Understand the fundamental concepts of OSI Layer, TCP/IP, VLAN, Switching, Routing

- Good knowledge in security areas, e.g. Firewall, IPS/IDS, VPN, Anti-spam, Anti-malware, WAF, DLP, Proxy, Anti DDOS

- Able to create a script, i.e. bash

- Familiar with the SDLC development process, and have some research on threat modeling

- Good at managing sensitive and confidential data, workstation devices, patching and upgrading systems, applications, services, and other infrastructure foundational components
