- Design, implement, and maintain IBM server systems, including Mainframes, Power systems, and Lenovo hardware.
- Manage various operating systems such as AS/400, AIX, Z/OS, Redhat, and different flavors of Linux, such as CentOS and Ubuntu.
- Proactively identify and address system issues to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Collaborate with clients, understand their requirements, and provide effective solutions to meet their needs.
- Plan and execute system migrations, switchovers, and switchbacks with minimal downtime and data loss.
- Offer expert guidance on storage solutions, including IBM Storage, tape systems, and other storage technologies.
- Develop and implement backup strategies using VEEAM, TSM, SKLM, and other relevant tools. Ensure data encryption practices are followed for security.
- Proven experience working with IBM server systems, including Mainframes, Power systems, and Lenovo hardware. Proficiency in operating systems such as AS/400, AIX, Z/OS, Redhat, and various Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with the banking sector's specific IT requirements, security standards, and compliance regulations is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system migrations, switchovers, and switchbacks while minimizing downtime.
- In-depth knowledge of storage solutions, including IBM Storage, tape systems, and backup tools like VEEAM and TSM.
- Strong understanding of data encryption techniques and best practices for data protection.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address system issues promptly and effectively.
- A commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in IBM systems, operating systems, and data management are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with evolving technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.
