The role:

Candidate is responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting our mobile app for iOS and Android which will be used by our customers in SG & ANZ for both our broadband and mobile service.

How you’ll contribute to MyRepublic’s success:

●       Developing new business features and building reusable components using React Native

●       Optimizing components for optimal performance across platforms with a consistent interface

●       Translating UI / UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code

●       Work with stakeholders from different countries and timezones

●       Developing and deploying iOS and Android applications using cross-platform technologies

●       Working with UI UX designers, architects, backend, and frontend engineers to create the best mobile experience

●       Collaborating with product and business teams to define a product, balancing features with time to market

●       Creating scalable, testable, documented application so the product can grow and maintained over time

●       Keeping up with technology changes in our space and leverage them when appropriate

●       Working independently to deliver software on time

●       Documenting all aspects of your work

●       Training, mentoring and collaborating with other team members to ensure our teams maintain high standards

●       Learning our business and helping to align technology innovation with our customer needs

●       Participating in product design, offering new ideas and understanding that not every idea will be adopted

Responsibilities

●       Developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of web applications.

●       Collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, and other developers) to plan, design, and implement features.

●       Building efficient, scalable, and secure code for web applications.

●       Creating and consuming RESTful APIs to integrate different systems and services.

●       Implementing and managing databases and data storage solutions.

●       Ensuring the responsiveness and usability of applications across different devices and platforms.

●       Debugging and resolving issues, identifying and fixing performance bottlenecks.

●       Conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining coding standards.

●       Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and applying them to projects when appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:

●       Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

●       Around 4 or more years of IT work experience

●       Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as frameworks like ReactJS, React Native

●       Proficiency in back-end development such as PHP,JavaScript (Node.js), TypeScript.

●       Experience with back-end frameworks like Slim Framework, CodeIgniter, Loopback.

●       Knowledge of databases and SQL, as well as experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

●       Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.

●       Understanding of web architecture, protocols, and security principles.

●       Problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.

●       Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

●       Excellent attention to detail and a focus on writing clean, maintainable code.

●       Experience with cloud platforms and deployment tools like AWS, GCP
