We are pleased to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for the role of Senior Manager – Finance Business Partner for Asia, Orica’s newest region. This is an exciting and rare opportunity, and the successful person will be a member of the Asia finance leadership team and will report into the Head of Finance for Asia. 

In this highly visible and critical role you will be responsible for partnering across functions to support business and the functional management teams that support the Asia business. It is accountable for the full commercial financial delivery including control of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow analysis and visibility and insight into underlying business unit performance.

This role requires complex financial analyses. It also has a high degree of stakeholder business partnering and visibility; you should be comfortable with influencing senior stakeholders to drive outcomes. You should be passionate about solving big and complex commercial problems using data, even when the answer or the problem is ambiguous. • Partner with the VP Asia, Area Business Managers, and the rest of BU functions to develop business strategy, set annual and longer-term targets, and budgets.
• Provide ongoing visibility into financial results with special emphasis on month end reporting variance analysis and short-term forecasts.
• Drive performance in Asia by setting profit improvement, fixed costs monitoring, cost reduction plans to meet or beat targets.
• Provide financial leadership in managing EBIT, trade working capital and cash flow targets.
• Perform customer and product profitability analysis to weed out low margin business.
• Liaise with Supply and Manufacturing teams to lower cost base of raw material and conversion cost.
• Ensure proper financial funding is available (capex, leasing and opex) and treasury processes are in place and adhered too. 
• Day to day financial transactions including budget preparation, end of month close, reporting, commercial tenders and capital financial support, etc.
• Support controllership including adherence to financial controls as well as regional champion for measuring adherence to other process controls (SHES, Maintenance, customer, etc) as well as half and full year Letter of Assurance for the region.
• Full product and customer profitability analysis.
• Drive strategic customer relationships with key global and regional customers head quartered within the zone.
• Drive organisational capability aligned with business strategy including training, talent management, coaching and development.

• Proven senior financial management experience in a large, complex, multi-cultural organisation across multiple geographies. 
• Role ideally suited to individuals with a minimum of (10) years in senior finance business partnering position.
• Professional designation CA, CMA, or CPA, post-graduate highly regarded.
• Strong management and leadership capabilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, mining & metals, oil and gas or other capital-intensive sectors highly desirable.
• Ability to multitask and manage complex processes to strict deadlines to achieve results.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with a creative approach to problem solving.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint with Power BI also highly regarded.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of foreign languages and international experience is advantageous but not essential.
