Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition.
Job Summary
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Business Excellence Associate based in Balikpapan.
The role is required to perform, analyse and made recommendation to all necessary activities that are associated with the effective and profitable servicing of a Sandvik Rock Tools Business, including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Environment
Ensure all activities are being carried out in accordance with company values and current company policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to mines regulations for all works performed by Sandvik at the Project Site. Report unsafe facilities and practices to the Contracts Supervisor. Ensure that the Customer’s statutory obligations at the Project Site are met on consumables and workshop facilities.
Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of housekeeping so as to optimise a safe and productive working environment with a quality outcome.
Customer Focus
Maintain current customer base and services.
Develop opportunity for growth in the Rock Tools business.
Work closely with the sales team and support them to achieve sales objectives and improve the sales efficiency and customer satisfaction
Proactive follow up calls and mails to the customer, keeping them updated and relationship building
Administration
Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date customer records; to track the status of orders and deliveries; to maintain sales commissions and expense records; and to generate contract reports and statistics.
Make simple calculations to accurately compile and report statistics.
Attend & participate in relevant stakeholder meetings/activities e.g. price reviews, budget preparation, tender preparation, account planning, sales meetings etc
Follow up & coordinate with supply chain network on outstanding items
Providing support for field team such merchandise, arranging site permit etc
Relationships and Authority
Supported indirectly by the Sales Manager Rock Tools
Liaises with:
Relevant Sandvik CSC Supervisor, Pricing & Inventory Supervisor
Regional Demand Planner & Inventory Team
Product Line Application & Engineers
Competencies Required
Strong in analytic and precise
High energy and enthusiasm, and importantly the ability to work unsupervised.
Solutions focus.
Qualifications and Experience
University degree or equivalent in Business, Technical, Administration.
Understanding of the Indonesia mining industry, would be beneficiary
2-6 years working experiences
intermediate English proficiency
Computer literacy, possess a valid Car Driving Licence would be advantage
Willing to travel using different mode of transport
