Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay abreast of local, national, and international laws and regulations governing the P2P lending industry.
• Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

Licensing and Permits:

• Manage the company's licensing and permit requirements, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain a positive working relationship with them.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and legal risks.

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal and regulatory risks, working closely with internal stakeholders.

Contract Review and Negotiation:

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors to ensure legal compliance and protect the company's interests.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to internal departments on contractual matters.

Compliance Training:

• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees about legal and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor employee compliance with internal policies and external regulations, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation as required by applicable laws and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all compliance activities and initiatives.

Ethics and Integrity:

• Promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organization, ensuring that employees are aware of and adhere to the company's code of conduct and ethical standards.

Investigations and Resolutions:

• Investigate compliance violations and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with legal counsel in the resolution of legal disputes and regulatory issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field; Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.
• Several years of experience in legal compliance roles within the financial services industry, preferably in P2P lending or fintech.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to explain complex legal matters clearly.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Certification in compliance or related field is a plus.
