Laboratory Assistant - Tobacco Flavor

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Flavorist and the manager in preparing sample formulations.
• Maintain all of the solutions within the applications laboratory, to include samples and raw materials.
• Maintain standard solution percentages, as well as accurate measuring and weighing of the solutions.
• Maintain organization while preparing products as well as account for all raw materials in all formulations.
• Record all product development results/ data in lab notebook.
• Order lab supplies, maintain an active inventory of materials for flavors.
• Maintain general order and cleanliness within the lab (glass washing, organization of bottles/ containers.
• Participate and comply with the company safety rules, regulations and procedures.
• Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by flavorist & manager.
• Responsible for implementation of ISO 9001-2015 (Quality Management System) as Management Representative and Document Controller.
• Maintain the monitoring of measuring devices.

Required skills:

• SMOKING Skill is a must/ Actively Smoking person
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Analytical chemistry, Engineering (Chemical), Chemistry, Industrial, Science & Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 Year minimum of working experience in laboratory at flavors / extraction industry or in the related field is required for this position.
• Must able to use Lab instrument : Refractometer & Densitometer, balance scale
• Have a real interest for Flavors, tobacco, cigarette, formulations, flavor raw materials, sensory (olfaction).
• Excellent mathematics skills; Must be able to perform basic math calculations; conversions, weight calculations, dilutions.
• Must have strict attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Required Skill(s): English (fluent), Microsoft Office (mainly MS Word & Excel), sensory evaluation skill is a must.
• Have a certification of ISO 9001-2015 is preferred.
