The Manager – Finance & Accounting is a sparring partner to the management of a functional department and is responsible for ensuring distributor profitability is transparent, enforcement internal control and compliance across the region. He/She plays an important role in supporting the achievement of the company goals and strategic decision-making process by making sure compliance with relevant laws and company rules.

The Manager – Finance & Accounting manages the forecasting and budgeting process of the full Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (B&S).

Your Role :

• Responsible in ensuring that the financial and accounting policies are accurate, well documented, consistently applied in the organization and in conformity with applicable accounting standards.
• Responsible for controlling of both accounting and management reports, P&L and BS (AP and AR).
• Actively involve stakeholders throughout the business to ensure financial management responsibilities are understood and financial goals are exceeded.
• Advise management from a business control perspective and able to link financial reports to company strategy.
• Analyze profitability, interpret financial information to management while recommending further course of action.
• Manage profitability improvement projects such as portfolio rationalization, cost control, price increases, etc.
• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures (internal and external audits) and JSOX requirements.
• Support the Regional Business Controller in onsite inspection to ensure company rules and policies are complied.
• Assist in any other finance and accounting tasks, if and when required, such as consolidation and reporting to Omron Headquarters.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Financial and/or Accounting management
• 7-10 years of working experience
• Proven skills in process and compliance management
• Proven reporting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (JD Edwards)
• Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal
• Excellent and effective communication skills.
• Have experience in handling corporate tax.
• IT skill and literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Travelling requirements: as & when required
