Responsibilities

• Drive the compliant and good application of Local regulations, PO safety standards and procedures
• Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy work place and culture and protect corporate asset and neighboring environment
• Perform safety audits, risks assessment and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
• Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
• Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as Fire drill, First aids, Safety risks analysis, Log-out Tag-out, safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
• Conduct new employees HSE Induction
• Implement and maintain internal Safety Management System
• Assist the plant to attain and maintain OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001
• Implement other plants best practices to improve Safety. Integrate external benchmarking coming from other companies
• Participate actively in the ASIA SAFETY committee. (Monthly sharing). Interface with the ASIA Manager of Manufacturing Excellence and Safety
• Manage security on site, control guard activity, use necessary means to keep tight security 24/7
• To organize and direct the work to comply with OHS Hazard and environmental policy, rules and works instruction
• Installation of equipment associated with OHS Hazard and environment
• To manage the minimization of accident or incident and waste
• Stop any unsafe action and unsafe condition which able to lead to high potential to serious injury

• Strong problem solving skills – experience in 5 Why, 8D, and PDCA methods a plus
• Strong influencing skills and ability to motivate people: especially in non-direct reporting relationships
• Ability to interact effectively within all levels of the organization (hourly, management, and executive levels)
• Demonstrates good understanding of machine regulations and equipment logic
• Very Strong communication skills both one on one as well as in large group settings
• Real life experience both leading and participating in the implementation of Safety management system
• Ability to perform technical risk assessment and drive the improvement change
• Good understanding of the legal requirements for health, safety and environment of the country

Personal Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety with mechanical or automation background
• Professional Certification OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001
• Minimum 5 years in leadership position
