ABOUT THE ROLE

PT BMT Asia Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our Marine & Infrastructure Team in Jakarta. Our Marine & Infrastructure Team is dedicated to provide technical consultancy across the marine sector specializing in the planning and design of marine facilities, ports, terminals and shipyards while enhancing the environmental value and asset functionality. Structural Engineer will act as mediator between the Company with Contractor/Client on site concerning matters related to Structural Engineering in a Port Construction project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design Engineer with structural design tasks, including modeling, analysis, and calculations
• Producing Project Drawings
• Interpret and apply codes and standards for structural design, such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, - PIANC, Sheet Piling Design, etc.
• Perform site visits, assist with inspections and develop technical documents and reports
•  Assisting relevant Engineers & Team Leaders to achieve the highest quality of the design
• Meets any and all deadlines as required by project schedule
• Carrying out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering/ analysis /design of concrete and steel structures
• Experienced in structural analysis and design of maritime (port) structures is a plus
• Experienced in structural design according to International design standards
• Good understanding of structural analyses and calculations using industry software, such as MathCAD, STAAD PRO, PLAXIS
• Able to provide expert advice to Client during the work on any construction related issues
• Able to work under pressure to meet the schedule requirement of fast-track projects.
• Experienced in the whole life project life cycle from investigative studies, conceptual design development, detailed design to construction phase services
