We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School/University Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services to students, helping them navigate academic, personal, and career-related challenges. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of educational and psychological principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for empowering students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling to students to address academic, personal, and career concerns. Offer guidance in selecting major and universities around the world.
2. Group Counseling: Organize and facilitate group counseling sessions to address common student concerns, such as stress management, study skills, career exploration, and interpersonal relationships.
3. Academic Support: Assist students in setting academic goals, developing study skills, and creating academic improvement plans. Collaborate with teachers to identify and address academic challenges.
4. Career Counseling: Help students explore career options, assess their strengths and interests, and develop academic and career plans. Provide guidance on college admissions, scholarships, and career development.
5. Personal Development: Support students in developing strong interpersonal and emotional skills, including conflict resolution, self-esteem, and coping mechanisms. Provide guidance on personal growth and well-being.
6. Crisis Intervention: Be available to address immediate crisis situations, such as students facing emotional distress, grief, or other urgent concerns. Coordinate with appropriate professionals and resources as needed.
7. Parent/Teacher Collaboration: Collaborate with parents and teachers to support the holistic development of students. Attend parent-teacher conferences and meetings to discuss student progress and concerns.
8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of counseling sessions, student progress, and intervention plans. Ensure confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.
9. Resource Referral: Connect students with external resources and services, such as mental health professionals, tutors, and support organizations, when necessary.
10. Professional Development: Stay current with educational and counseling trends, attend relevant training, and participate in professional organizations to enhance counseling skills.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor or Master degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
2. State licensure or certification as a school counselor (where applicable).
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Empathy and the ability to build trust with students.
5. Knowledge of educational and career development theories.
6. Familiarity with academic assessment tools and counseling techniques.
7. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
8. Ethical and professional conduct, respecting student confidentiality.
9. Previous counseling experience in an educational setting is preferred.
10. Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
