Purpose of the Job

Ensuring governance, guidelines, policies and procedures are followed to enable the continued support of IT Systems within the Sulzer business organisation. Ensuring that by using the tools and methods available to the position the business is kept in an operational state regarding its IT Systems and other related processes it uses to carry out its business.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

IT Management & Operations

• Designated contact and local management escalation point for the Sub-Region.
• Leads, mentors, and manages a small team of IT Engineers.
• Tier 2 I.T. administration.
• Ensure all security and administration controls are in place, are effective and comply with regulations.
• Plan and implement additions, deletions, and local modifications to the supporting infrastructure companywide in line with Sulzer global IT policies and procedures.
• Responsibility of local infrastructure: PCs, Network, Servers, Telephony and CCTV.
• Ensure availability and reliability of all IT Services to end users. Monitoring service levels accordingly.
• Oversee reliability and functionality of information systems and provide technical leadership and assistance.
• Ensure Business Continuity for IT in line with local and Global IT requirements.
• Management of company responsibilities in line with the Data Protection legislation.
• Ensure that company procedures are followed regarding expenditures for IT spend.
• Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices, and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
• Participate in and actively support company initiatives.
• Support of Local Business applications within the responsible locations.
• Special site requirement - these are defined as a System, Service, Hardware, Software or Duty carried out by IT technicians within their responsibilities that is only provisioned from the site they are working at or have responsibility for.

ERP Management

• Participate in Design, implementation, and support of MS D365 ERP system
• Reviews business requirements in partnership and collaboration with Business units in Sulzer Asia-Pacific region
• Facilitates client workshops for business process mapping, end-user training, software/solution delivery walkthroughs, process discovery, and progress updates
• Documentation of process, training guides, requirements, solutions, technical specifications, and knowledge articles relevant to supported business units
• Writing specifications, programming, testing, consulting, analysis, data conversion, processing upgrades and providing ERP technical support
• Based on identified business improvement demands, drives the conceptualization and design of new business solutions, and manages associated impact and risk to ensure business runs at maximum efficiency
• Works closely with the functional, technical, QA and Dev teams to ensure successful project deliverables, including test plan traceability.
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely to multiple audiences within an organization.
• Main ERP Incident Support Group owner for the region, ensuring ERP incidents and change requests are handled within set service management KPIs
• Support business units with Reporting requirements during month-end financial processing
