Urgently needed:

Art Teacher

General purpose:

To develop students’ knowledge, skills and appreciations towards fine/visual art. To foster the ability for creative expression in visual terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression consistent with school guidelines and to discover and develop students’ talents in the field of art.

Job Description:

The Art Teacher will perform the following Job description:

• Teach knowledge and skills in art, eg. drawing, painting, lettering, and selection of art history.

• Demonstrate techniques in activities such as drawing and painting

• Competent in knowledge, skills, variety techniques/media and methods of elements of design and modern principles of art

• Knowledgeable and competent in providing and delivering art lessons

•  Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students with varying intellectual and artistic and abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities

•   Instruct students in proper care and use of tools and equipment

•  Organize storage areas and control use of materials, equipment and tools to prevent loss or abuse, and to minimize time required for distribution and collection

• Evaluate each student’s performance and growth in knowledge, understandings, skills, and prepare progress reports each term

•   Select, inform, record and apply resources, instructional materials, tools, instructional aids, and maintain required inventory records

•   Plan and present art displays and exhibitions designed to exhibit students’ work for the school and the community

•  Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and/or in self-selected professional growth activities

•  Attend and exercise curriculum and other developmental programs, such as ex-cur or after school club

 QUALIFICATION :

• Bachelor Degree in Arts or relevant majors
• Age 25 – 42 years old
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Fine/Visual Arts
• Experienced in teaching and dealing with Junior and Senior high students
• Competent skills in fine/visual arts
• Passionate in education, responsible, committed and caring
• Creative and effective in making lesson plan as well as in delivering lessons
• Familiar and highly involved with project-based learning
• Possess good leadership, class/student management and communication skill
• Communicative and capable to work both in team and individually
• Possess competency of English language
• Good record of conduct and character
• Good record of health
• Preferably resides in North Jakarta (Kelapa Gading, Sunter and surrounding areas)
