Across Indonesia, Beca has two offices in Jakarta and Sorowako. Together we undertake projects in the buildings, minerals & metals, food & life science markets.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Jakarta office. As a team, we directly interface with clients, contractors, and vendors to work on diverse projects across Indonesia. Each day will present a new challenge, but overall, you can expect to be part of the following:

• Working across multiple industries, understanding clients' opportunities and challenges, and translating them into work briefs that provide the right engineering solutions.
• Helping develop long-term client relationships and partnering with key Indonesian clients.
• Leading mechanical and piping work packages, specifying and integrating mechanical equipment for production, manufacturing, utilities, refrigeration, and energy, water and waste projects on large industrial sites.
• Project engineer roles in the office and site-based locations, setting clear expectations on scope, cost, quality, and schedule.
• Participating in site-based engineering teams delivering capital projects.

About you

You are personable, and practical, love learning, and can bring a fresh perspective. As a qualified Mechanical Engineer, you have grown your skills in a similar consulting or contracting environment where you have built your technical design and project management experience through undertaking projects for and on industrial sites.

You are experienced in detailed design and are seeking to or have recently transitioned into a design management and/or project management role. You will also have an enquiring mind and be able to problem-solve and think laterally. You will also be comfortable working in an overseas environment in Indonesia that can adapt and thrive in a new culture. 

Beca will support you with your move to Indonesia; to be considered, you must have a valid passport and be subject to visa and medical clearance requirements.
