CAPEXinsights

One of our flag-ship software solutions, supports capital project and portfolio management teams to optimise their capital investment.  Designed to take the pain out of managing a capital portfolio, it supports business leaders, finance teams, and project engineers to manage both small and large projects. Although wholly owned by Beca, in many ways CAPEXinsights runs as a separate business, with teams in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Netherlands. From here we support our existing and potential customers headquartered in Europe, America and Australia. 
 

Role Purpose/Key Accountabilities: 

• Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards that effectively communicate insights to drive business decisions 
• Create and maintain efficient data models and relationships to ensure data accuracy and consistency. 
• Monitor and optimize report performance and data refresh schedules. 
• Create and maintain documentation of reports, data models, and data sources. 
• Use best practices in UI/UX design to ensure that reports are easy to read and navigate, and that data visualizations are clear and effective in conveying insights. 
• Collaborate with UX designers and other team members to ensure a consistent and cohesive look and feel across all reports and dashboards. 
• Apply a broad understanding of Agile methodologies and participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. 
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously.

• Work to achieve team goals through personal effort with regular attendance and effective contribution to team meetings
• Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, product owners and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines

Experience/Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification  
• 2+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. 
• High level of numeracy 
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal  
• Basic SQL programming skills 
• Knowledge of database software including MS Access and Excel 
• Experience in data visualization, and data analysis.
