Key Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Responsible for all Taxation matter related to compliances like Income Tax, VAT, Withholding tax, customs, etc.
- Filing of periodic returns/reports to the tax department, customs and local bodies.
- Responsible for making accurate and timely tax payments on periodic basis.
- Ensuring accurate and timely VAT credit/Input is taken and accounted properly.
- Verification of all invoices/documents for the VAT, WHT, custom compliances.
- Ensuring all accounting related to tax and customs is accurate and timely.
- Handling and responding to all tax assessments/demands/notices as received from tax department.
- Needs to ensure zero defect compliances and needs to evaluate the cost saving opportunities in the role.
- Work closely with the IT/ Systems department to ensure that compliances are mapped as far as possible in the ERP system.
- Coordinating and maintaining relationship with the tax authorities and tax consultants.
- Regularly updating all changes in the taxation laws and briefing the accounting function.
- Work with line functions to ensure smooth implementation of tax and Customs related compliances.
- Coordinating with the accounting function for bill verification and payments.
- Supporting accounts function in accounting, reporting and monthly closing.
- May have to travel periodically for compliance audits, reviews and litigations pertaining to plant and depots.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education Level – Diploma majoring in Accounting / Taxation
- Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in an unstructured startup / greenfield project environment.
- Having experience in manufacturing industry is preferable
- Having A & B Brevet Certificate
- SAP knowledge and experience of working in MNC environment is preferred
- Fluent in English
