HEAD CHEF WESTERN CUISINE

Responsibilites:

• Ensure food menus and recipes attract customers by creating/modifying dishes which are accepted to the taste of market in Jakarta.
• Schedule and coordinate the work of chefs, cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure that the food preparation process is cost-efficient.
• Develop standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation.
• Evaluate products to assure that quality, price and related items are consistently met.
• Cook or directly supervise the cooking of items that require skilful preparation.
• Ensure that kitchen is adequately staffed in all areas within budgeted labor costs.
• Ensure that kitchen expenses are monitored/reported regularly and accurately.
• Ensure that all food supplies are ordered, stocked, and properly stored.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness with proper hygiene and sanitation standard
• Oversee all operation aspects to the kitchen.
• Hire and re-hiring of kitchen staffs.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in same capacity.
• Able to communicate in Basic English with staff.
• Has the sound knowledge and experience about French, Italian, and German cuisine.

The Head Chef Western Cuisine determines the standards of kitchen production for our full-service restaurant and executes all operations with a team of kitchen helpers and cleaners, He/She is expected to be meticulous with all food preparation and presentation, firm with all hygiene and safety practices.
