ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· To assist QA/QC ASST Manager to manage as well as responsible for the daily running and

operation of the laboratory

· To manage and monitor incoming, in-process and finished product quality control.

· To manage authorization of incoming materials receiving and finished product release.

· To provide technical services to sale and marketing personnel in meeting customer requirements.

· To maintain workplace safety

· To maintain QMS, GMP, HACCP and other standards implementation in laboratory activities

· To in charge of quality assurance of finished product and quality control of receiving materials

· To ensure testing and inspection for receiving and finished product release is performed according

to documented

· Testing/inspection plan; to authorize release timely and accurately; to ensure proper maintenance

of quality records

· To carry out laboratory investigation for resolution of Lab OOS (test method, chemical, equipment

etc. issues)

· To review and update on daily quality from all stages; to carry out investigation for resolution of

non-conformance, quality deviation receiving, in process and finished product.

· To prepare monthly/yearly statistical summary/trending for quality of receiving/in process/

finished product and project

· To maintain laboratory instruments and hardware includes calibration, maintenance, trouble

shooting and communicate with instruments supplier when required.

· To provide technical guidance to ensure smooth running of calibration, verification and validation

activities

· To keep track, plan and arrange purchase of laboratory supplies

· To provide guidance to lab executive/superintend to ensure right quality sample send to customer

· To lead and monitor implementation of product stability study program.

· To carry out reviewing and setting specifications for raw materials, in-process and finished product

· To carry out reviewing and response to customer enquiries/questionnaires in matters related to quality and specification.

· To perform audit of activities related to laboratory, cross departments, vendor, service providers etc.

· To provides training to laboratory personnel for continuous improvement of their competency.

· To provide recommendation to management on job performance, development and disciplinary of laboratory personnel

· To prepare and maintain record keeping of quality record, document, relevant report etc.

· To implement housekeeping laboratory and other work places involved Technical

· To initiate/implement quality initiatives, quality plan for product development, process and projects towards meeting required improvement goals in support of site manufacturing.

· To initiate/implement improvement needs and upgrades mapped out based on the review of laboratory operations to meet business and customer needs · To perform any task assigned by management from time to time

JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.

· Minimum 3 years working experience in laboratory. Preferably from a chemical manufacturing background.

· Good verbal and written knowledge in English, Bahasa Malaysia / Indonesia

ADDITIONAL NOTES / DESIRABLE SKILLS

· Knowledge and experience in running GC, automated analysis instrument and developing methods will be an added advantage.

· Knowledge of ISO/IEC:17025 and lab safety will be an added advantage

· Exposure to QMS, GMP, HACCP will be an added advantage
