We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for fashion, excellent sewing and garment alteration skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering and repairing clothing items to meet our customers' specifications, ensuring a perfect fit and enhancing the overall appearance of the garments.

Job Outline:

1. Perform garment alterations, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting sleeves, collars, and cuffs.
2. Measure customers accurately to ensure precise fit and comfort.
3. Provide expert advice and recommendations to customers on garment alterations and customization options.
4. Repair damaged or worn clothing items by patching, sewing, or replacing zippers, buttons, and other fasteners.
5. Maintain and operate sewing machines, sergers, and other tailoring equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
6. Keep an organized and clean work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
7. Collaborate with customers to discuss design preferences and create custom clothing items when required.
8. Manage and prioritize alteration orders, ensuring timely completion and meeting customer deadlines.
9. Uphold quality standards to deliver garments that meet or exceed customer expectations.
10. Maintain records of customer orders and alterations for future reference.
11. Stay updated on fashion trends and sewing techniques to provide innovative solutions to customers.

Position Profile

1. Proven experience as a Tailor, Seamstress, or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in sewing, garment alteration techniques, and the operation of sewing machines and equipment.
3. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for precision and quality.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
5. Creative problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Knowledge of various fabrics and their properties.
8. Prior experience in custom tailoring and garment customization is a plus.
9. High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in tailoring or fashion design is preferred.
