The role

The Technical Expert_Monitoring (Newtrax) will be responsible for important customer assignments to perform systematic fault finding and providing prompt, correct and safe solutions and providing quality technical support at the Freeport Mine site in Indonesia. Work closely with customer, using a specialist understanding of customer needs to act as a trusted advisor and determine the appropriate. Reporting the important product cases into the EQ Division systems.

• Use deep knowledge of the tasks, tools, and procedures in providing technical support to the customers.

• Perform adjustments and fine tuning of systems for customer equipment

• Commissioning new products.

• Root Cause Analysis/Trouble Shooting (Including 1st line support).

• Function as first line support for helpdesk issues & technical support in Sales Area.

• Collect technical feedback and provide feedback to Product Masters/EQ Division Product line.

• Ensure technical information and knowledge sharing between Equipment division and Sales Area together/aligned with Product Masters.

• Organize corrective action campaigns and follow up the completion in Sales Area.

• Coach, Mentor, Trainer (incl. knowledge transfer between factory and Sales Area).

• Run new product training/coaching course for colleagues.

• Source and join technical training courses and assessments of Divisions.

• Follow the necessary Take 5 and risk assessment procedures..

Your profile

You should possess a relevant Degree or Trade qualification in either electrical or mechanical disciplines. Along with 5 years of Technical experience and training in key aspects of technical trades

Proven understanding and experience with machine CAN bus systems is required. You also possess proven understanding and experience with IT systems and terminology, MS Project, MS Visio, and MS Access, in addition to system support and remote support experience.

Additionally, it is preferred that candidates possess:

• Experience working with TCP/IP networks including Wi-Fi

• An understanding of communication protocols (e.g. CANBus)

• Strong investigative and diagnostic skills

• Experience with underground mining remote control system

• Knowledge of customer’s industry

• Systemic failure analysis

• Experience in on site commissioning

• Ability to work underground as needed
