Description of the Position (Duties and Responsibilities):
- Perform detailed technical analysis of functional processes and always propose the most efficient/state of the art solutions, with a broad and continuous interest in technology.
- Polyvalent Engineer, familiar with low voltage, instrumentation and automation to execute projects from concept study till implementation/start-up.
- Project management skills to realize the approved projects and you initiate them by organising the project team and by coordinating your work based on project planning and budget process.
- Strong attraction to the chocolate industry and willing to master the production processes preferably in a FMCG environment.
- Report to the Regional (APAC) Project/Engineering Manager.
- Liaising with regional and corporate stakeholders to stay up-to-date with Barry Callebaut Electrical & Automation standards.
- Cooperate closely with other departments and team members, depending on project at hand.
- Experience in projects for industrial environment and working for Multinational or a European company is an advantage.
- This position requires frequent travel(70% of the time) and home station can be based in any factory/office in APAC region.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation Engineering
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a FMCG environment. Strong analysis, and troubleshooting skill using 5 Why’s, parato, fishbone diagram, 2D CAD- proficient, 3D CAD -knowledge, MS Project- (or equivalent) proficient
- Frequent travel required to APAC regions, possible for weeks/months, depending on the Project location.
- Languages: English (excellent verbal and written), knowledge of other regional languages is a plus.
- Working experience with Siemens PLC’s and WinCC SCADA is a requirement.
- Establish motor and component lists, write electrical and software tenders and follow up the works based on group standards.
- Control cabinet schematic design and equipment selection.
- Commissioning lead for electrical works, I/O-testing, functional testing and start-up.
- Application knowledge on Profinet, Modbus &TCP/IP.
- Strong knowledge on VFD, Motor Starters, Control Valves.
- In-depth experience in process instrumentation and selection.
- Understanding on process digitalization concepts, MES, and factory automation.
- Basic knowledge in Cyber-security
