Responsibilities :

1. Conduct research and development in a laboratory to meet customer needs.

2. Develops new or improved dispersions, including formulation, stability/durability testing, and pigment selection for Matapel pigment pastes

3. Understand the market requirement and develop new pigment pastes products to enhance its competitiveness in the market.

4. Plans and carries out research to support the design and development of new products and new processes used in the manufacture of pigment preparations.

5. Support business revenue growth through product innovation which includes literature surveys, industry engagement, and experimentation in the lab (Deliver new products for successful growth of Matapel pigment pastes market)

6. Communicates with Technical Advisor, marketing, manufacturing, and various support groups to ensure the successful commercialization of products; Utilizes internal networks.

7. Provides technical support, data and information for specific projects by conducting experiments or tests to generate data.

8. Create product specifications for samples that are in development.

9. Support projects by performing laboratory work to improve product performance, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

10. Appropriate selection of raw materials, dispersion making and testing, data analysis and application of dispersion formulation/knowledge to product specifications and performance requirements as defined by the appropriate stakeholder.

11. Accurate documentation and presentation of lab results and technical information.

12. Acts as a resource to other employees technically and in project management.

13. Provides team support by encouraging collaboration and providing suggestions/resources to overcome obstacles.

14. Record and maintain appropriate records and develop summaries on specific projects for Technical Advisor review

15. Work independently on projects and executes to completion and commercialization

Requirements:

• BS or MS in Chemistry
• 1-3 years in pigment formulation/product development or related field
• Color matching experience is a plus
• Must be familiar with all basic pigment lab equipment
• Must be PC literate and literate in Excel, Word and Power point, etc.
• Must have good communication in english & bahasa (both verbal and written)
• Strong interpersonal & problem-solving skills and commitment to providing a high standard of quality work
