Job Overview

Maintenance

• Responsible for maintenance of all facilities of the site, including production equipment, utilities, buildings, and surroundings

Leadership

• Leading a team, consisting of Asset Reliability Lead, Asset Compliance and Project Engineer.
• Manages all activities of the Engineering Department.

Principal Accountabilities

Engineering project development and execution

• Identify needs for engineering projects, small to large
• Conceptualize and establish financial justification
• Design engineering installations on your own or with assistance of expert.
• Work out budgets, timelines, and resource needs
• Manage execution of projects with zero safety issues, within specs, budget, timeline and to satisfaction of stakeholders
• Hand over functioning project to future owner/operator
• Identify all engineering aspects related to the procurement of additional equipment and utilities according to the agreed Procurement Governance
• Closely coordinate with project contractors and ensure Amcor’s requirements are defined and expressed and ultimately met in timely manner
• Work with Amcor Procurement to ensure delivery of equipment, utilities, and other items at best price, at defined specifications and in time

Engineering Maintenance

• Develop Preventive Maintenance system based on internal and external benchmarking of Best Practice asset maintenance and systems.
• Direct responsibility for Utility and Facility Maintenance across all sites.
• Develop set of KPI and a measuring and tracking system related to the performance of the equipment, utilities, and facilities under his/her responsibility
• Continuous improvement to existing systems by optimizing equipment, machinery, procedures to achieve better maintainability and reliability to ensure smooth running of machines as required.

Financial Planning

• Establish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of the facilities maintenance program
• Support the establishing of CAPEX budgets and monitoring spend to deliver project within budget.

Occupational Health, Safety and Environment

• Develop and implement measures to minimize environmental footprint of plant and operations
• Directly responsible for Health and Safety of his/her direct reports and the safe conditions of any equipment, utility, or facility
• Ensure machine is following both local government and Amcor’s Safety and Regulatory or its related regulations

Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a maintenance role, engineering projects with budget responsibly. 
• Experience to work in a matrix organization
• Proven leadership skills and experience 
• Knowledge on regulatory compliance requirements
• Some experience in formal Preventive Maintenance System and Consequence Driven Maintenance system (CDM)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

• Experience in medium level engineering projects across various utilities and construction works
• Effective participation in multi-functional work-projects and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have broad understanding of laminating/printing processes, machine maintenance and utilities management. 

Education and Certifications

•   Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Instrument Engineering
