Utility Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the successful of project delivery according to the agreed time, cost, quality, and scope requirements by applying efficient and effective project management skills and resources. You will be responsible for overseeing utility mechanical system installation; participating in start-up, commissioning and qualification for a new plant project
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct and control all or part of utility mechanical projects, from concept through design, cost estimates, construction and closeout of the project
- Analyse technical drawings, interpreting specifications and determining the utility mechanical requirements of a project
- Develops utility mechanical materials standards and operating procedures.
- Prepare forecasts as required for utility mechanical system planning and budget preparation
- Control project budgets and report project progress.
- Diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment
- Provides technical oversight and guidance to project team members
- Ensure health and safety codes are obeyed at all times
- Work closely with the project manager through creative problem solving, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to support and facilitate the effective delivery of works and projects according to the required standards and targets within budget
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience
- Advanced proficiency of engineering practice and project implementation
- Ideal candidates should have strong experience with plant utility mechanical systems
- A sound understanding of health and safety regulations
- Expert in Ms Word, Excel, PPT, AutoCAD and other engineering related applications/programs
- Fluent in English: Speaking, reading and writing
- Exceptional Organization, planning and time management Skills
- Ability to work in a team and remain professional at all time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to find and solve problems
- Have a strong sense of responsibility
