PROFILE SUMMARY

Packaging Manager manages packaging designs, innovation, testing and optimizes product packaging and its processes within Health Product range. Responsible for the technical implementation of packaging procedures at the in house and external manufacturers plants in Indonesia.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Establish development programs for packaging innovation and optimization for packaging materials, structural design and packaging processes with full comprehensive impact on cost & production efficiency.
• Ensure that all product designs and materials for local promo items comply with environmental, safety and shipping legislation and also with trade requirements
• Manage major local, regional and/or global projects (NPD/EPD/Squeeze) within deadlines and ensure the achievement of set KPIs
• Manage and monitor Packaging Technologist and its activities and achievement. 
• Close collaboration with Procurement and QA teams to ensure the “Supplier Selection Process & Criteria” process is applied for selection/qualification of any new suppliers for packaging items
• Ensure that TDS used is as per global guidelines (i.e. packaging component specifications / Palletization specifications / BOMs / Test methods etc. are kept updated within the system)
• Collaborate with QA team to ensure that latest quality techniques and test methods (i.e. storage tests/transport tests/etc.) are applied consistently and new methods are developed, if necessary
• Collaborate with global teams such as Marketing, Category, R&D Ops, and Procurement for all NPD/EPD/Squeeze projects
• Build effective working relationships with suppliers and perform regular quality audit of the suppliers along with QA and Procurement.
• Evaluate, direct and manage packaging changes for squeeze projects implementation.
• Influencing a wide range of business functions to ensure that packaging developments are in line with supplys key drivers of cost, quality and customer service
• Ensure proper follow through whole mold development and mold validation process.
• Responsible for artwork approval process through Brand works system
• Responsible and accountable for TPS & PPS accuracy and approval in TDS System
• Responsible and accountable for Track wise approval of Change control and Deviation 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Min. Bachelor degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineer / Chemical Engineer / Industrial Engineering / Packaging Engineering
• Min. 3 years in FMCG (Food/Cosmetic) in packaging field/department or similar industry related to packaging
• Technical knowledge of packaging materials and related processes
• Knowledge of injection, blow & thermoforming and molds
• Knowledge of manufacturing technology (both on the making of the packaging components as well as the related filling, capping, labeling and packing technology and any other packaging technologies i.e. printing, aerosols, laminates, etc will be an added advantage)
• Knowledge of Intellectual Property issues associated with structural packaging design
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards
• Proven ability to manage staff in a team environment. 
• Proven track record to manage multiple multi-functional projects
• Fluently in English communication.
