Role: Senior Accountant

Term of employment: 6-month contract

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Special Projects, the Senior Accountant will be primarily responsible for Balance Sheet account reconciliation for specific accounts (Unearned Revenues, Unknown/Unallocated Cash Receipts, etc) for a group of over 30 entities within NWP Property, which includes preparing journal entries as a follow through of the reconciliations, and preparation and maintenance of account supporting schedules to ensure the funds are reconciled to Trial Balance/General Ledger.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting plus three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior work experience with an accounting firm will be an advantage.
• Experience in using PAMS accounting software (Property Advance Management Software) is preferable.
• Experience in the property industry/shopping malls will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in and experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel (including the ability to build moderate spreadsheets with formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, sumif, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of full-cycle accounting and accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Experience in preparing and maintaining a General Ledger, completing P&L and balance sheet analysis, and a strong understanding of accounting standards/IFRS.
• Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliation and roll-forward schedules.
• A detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills and commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines.
• The ability to interact with the team, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a proven ability to build effective relationships.
