Job description :

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving our ios and android mobile application as well as executing design work for our website. Our mobile application is primarily powered by an exposed, external API that our PIMS (practice information management system) provider have developed for us. This means that information is read and written to and from PIMS provider and our mobile app.

Our mobile app allows users to add pets, book appointments, pay for invoices, receive push notifications and reminders, chat with us, and view medical records and we plan on adding many more features. Because we are in a very early stage and are very much a startup, expect things to move fast, change, and sometimes break. Because our mobile app is designed to be responsible for both the first (scheduling an appointment) and the last interaction with us (paying an invoice) uptime and integrity is crucial to a seamless customer experience.

We have ambitious plans to scale the business as fast as possible so we need the supporting tech to help us do this.

Responsibilities/Day in a life :

• Write concise, scalable, well documented and clear code
• Effectively break down larger tasks into smaller chunks
• Provide accurate estimates for tasks
• Proactively monitor performance, errors, and health of services
• Develop UI and UX based on wireframes and mockups
• Develop and execute a plan for feature development
• Push code for code review and work in a small team to collaboratively tackle outstanding tasks, bug fixes and feature requests

Requirements :

• Have experience with ios and android development using Flutter
• Have experience with payment gateways such as xendit and multiple other 3rd party service providers (instant messaging, sms provider, push notification service, etc…)
• Have experience with developing a typescript based express backend server
• Be familiar with basic amazon infrastructure and monitoring (ec2, rds, cloudwatch)
• Have experience with relational databases (we use postgres)
• Be familiar with continuous deployment into different environments (development, staging, production)
• Enthusiastic to learn and implement new technologies!
