Accountant

Report to            : Accounting Coordinator

Employment      : Direct Hire (National Position for Indonesian Citizen only)


Responsible in performing the relevant duties and responsibilities within the accounting team and providing day-to-day support to the finance department..

Job Description:

  • Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheet, profit and loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.

  • Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions while ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records

  • Ensures reconciliation of intercompany charges and working closely with treasury and accounts payable team for timely payments

  • Completes monthly close process in SAP for respective entities, including uploading to Repsol Consolidation Tool

  • Generates management information with the capability to provide analysis and explanations to senior management in regional and corporate offices

  • Point of contact for Joint Venture Partner finance queries, including coordination of Joint Venture Audits

  • Prepares Government reporting, including Financial Quarterly Reporting and Monthly Asset Reporting

  • Prepares and analyzes statutory financial statements and reports based on IFRS and supports statutory audits and reviews

  • Understands, and calculates breakdown of expenditures from Gross Expenditures, split between Recoverable and Non-Cost Recoverable and Net Repsol Costs

  • Prepares and coordinates Deferred Tax calculation for Indonesia Assets

  • Ensures adherence with group internal control procedures and ICFR compliance

  • Participate in any Ad-Hoc works or projects as necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with Accounting or Finance qualification.

  • Years of experience a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance areas.  

Technical knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

  • Ability to meet deadline

  • Good coordination and communication skills and team-work oriented.

  • Proficient in English, Ms. Office (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is a must)

  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas Accounting is an advantage

  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
