Responsibility

• Will be in charge/supervising two or 3 mills in a region;
• Planning of Mill, Bulking and Biogas operations under your purview;
• Ensure consistent and effective operations of the above units based on SOPs;
• Program & implementation of all Maintenance Schedules based on Budget;
• Carry out routine checks on Laboratory output in terms of reliability & accuracy of results based on Process Control Manual;
• Compliance of all Administrative Procedures based on Finance Circulars;
• Review performance of all staff on a regular basis and ensure corrective measures in place.

 Requirements

• Expected qualification is a Bachelor degree/diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university, but matured candidates having the relevant know-how and experience based on exposure to the palm oil milling industry will be considered as an exemption to this basic qualification. 
• Minimum of 6 years experience in Palm Oil Mills as a Mill Manager or alternatively exposure in similar responsibilities would be considered for matured candidates. 
• Preferably someone who has experience in palm oil milling techniques that have been introduced to the industry over the past 8 years like sterilization indexing systems, biogas engines, automatic digestor loading and use of hydraulic double drives for conveyors are some of the systems the incumbent is expected to have some exposure.   
• The incumbent should be in a sound state of health. Evidence of such health conditions will be required.
• Able to manage the operation of the palm oil mill as an integral unit together with the Biogas Plant and Composting operation, including ensuring the quality of POME discharged from the mill.
