- English is a must, able to speak or discuss in English Language.
- Displays good teamwork, attitude towards his colleagues.
- Trains and works with all kitchen staff to increase total departmental competency
- Recommend hiring and firing to the Executive Chef and for promotion of staff
- Ensures that the reputation and image of the restaurant is retained and improved at all times
- Maintains an excellent reputation in the eyes of the guests and the staff
- Daily meeting with Sous Chef and kitchen team, give them information, support and guidance.
- Constantly checks on cook performance in regards to cooking and preparations technique as well as for taste
- Supervises all kitchen staff. Advises the Executive Chef in all matters related to the staff assigned to him
- The working hours are in accordance with the established duty roster issued by the Head Chef. He is expected, in exceptional cases, to support the kitchen by extending his duty hours until such time that the emergency is solved
- Ensure proper handling of equipment, prevents loss and damage to assets
- Ensures proper scheduling of staff in accordance to the expected work-load and seasonal
- Ensure proper food supplies of all kitchen, fully responsible for ordering according to instruction received.
- Works hands on in all area of preparation. Is fully responsible for the mise-en-place and operation of the kitchen
- Ensures and enforces the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene
- Follows the correct production procedures according to the recipes issued by the Head Chef.
- Ensure minimum wastage or spoilage in checking all area continuously
- Responsible for proper receiving procedures and storage of food and raw material
