Role Overview

We are looking for:

• The position is expected the candidate to perform basic accounting and tax related work for Solvay Group in Indonesia. Autonomous role responsible for managing the company accounting and reporting duties of the Group’s entities in Indonesia
• This position will report to the Head of MBU Office Indonesia based in Jakarta with a dotted line to SBS and PTCI.

We count on you for:

• Ensure accounting compliance with IFRS and local regulations
• Preparation of annual financial statements and assist with annual FS audit process.
• Supervise Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Management Accounts close
• Tax posting & GL validation
• BFC review and validation
• Ensure Tax compliance
• Prepare and submit monthly WHT (Art 23, 25, 26 & 4(2)) and VAT returns
• Preparation and distribution of WHT payment slips to vendors
• Perform GL reconciliation of VAT and WHT clearing accounts
• Data maintenance and document archiving
• Perform annual Corporate Income Tax Return
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements
• Prepare and submit monthly Bank of Indonesia Loan Realisation reporting
• Quarterly submission of KPPK reports to Central Bank
• Semi-annual submission of LKPM Investment Activity Report to BKPM
• Ensure internal controls are effective and aligned to Solvay internal policies
• Interface with auditors
• Liaise with Company auditors, Indonesian Tax Office, Ministry of Finance and Bank of Indonesia in relation to audits
• Assistant to MBU Manager
• Any ad-hoc task assigned by the MBU Manager for both PTSI and PTCI

You will bring:

• General qualification
• Accounting or Business degree with minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting role
• Brevet AB is preferable
• High proficiency with written and verbal English
• SAP experience
• Demonstrated excellent work ethic
• Experience working within a large multinational company preferred
• Skills required
• Able to communicate well in English
• Ability to work autonomously
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations
• Sound knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations
• Ability to liaise with the Tax Office in relation to VAT and corporate income tax audits
• Experience dealing with Bank of Indonesia statutory reporting preferred
