The Head of Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) Manufacturing is responsible to build up manufacturing operations and for all CGT custom manufacturing activities, including safe and compliant execution, customer satisfaction and financial performance. Accountable for the accomplishment of corporate business objectives by developing business strategies.

Key responsibilities:

• Leads and directs the manufacturing activities to ensure compliance to cGMP and quality assurance of final products.

• Ensures that the manufacturing facility is audit ready and in a continuous state of readiness for GMP production.

• Ensures collaboration between CGT manufacturing and all support groups.

• Responsible for employee recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary programs; communicating values; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, compensating results.

• Increases stakeholder value by establishing functional objectives aligned with corporate mission, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing new strategic initiatives; enhancing organizational stability and reputation; and measuring and ensuring profit and service driven outcomes.

• Achieves financial objectives by forecasting functional requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions, analyzing information and trends and making recommendations for senior executive decision making.

• Tracks and reports department performance to the measurements of cost and schedule. Identifies and minimizes adverse trends that may influence these factors.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in life science or related field with 15+ years of direct job-related experience in GMP facility with managerial experience.

• Able to manage multiple cross-functional teams and projects simultaneously.

• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, negotiations, collaboration and management skills required.
