Rumah Siap Kerja is now looking for Engineering Managers (1 Backend side, 1 Frontend side) who is an excellent leader with deep technical knowledge and driving leadership quality.

Here's what you will do:

• Driving technical strategies for scalable application by promoting an understanding of the technology and business roadmap.
• Designing scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
• Translating product requirements into technical actionable steps and responsible for architecture, design, quality and software practices.
• Closely collaborate with colleagues across design, product and engineering for timely and high-quality delivery.
• Ensure the team builds software that is architecturally consistent, of high quality, and that follows operational best practices
• Ensure the team is working productively cross-team and cultivating relationships to drive growth of the products
• Support and facilitate decision-making, whilst removing roadblocks.
• Identifying bottlenecks and improving software efficiency.
• Ensure software security and performance is always optimized while maintaining minimum cost.
• Ensuring software documentation is updated.
• Cultivate a culture where team members are empowered and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and belonging to the products.
• Foster a healthy collaborative engineering culture.
• Are responsible for building a team of engineers by hiring, managing, coaching, career development and performance review.
• Onboarding new engineers and doing a monthly performance review in the probation period.
• Create performance improvement plans for the team.
• Continually identifying and addressing potential performance problems in the team.
• Maintaining general cohesion of the team (via 1:1s, group hangout, etc.)
• Design an efficient workflow for the team.

Here's what the ideal person look like:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• Have 5 years overall experiences with at least 2 years in a similar role, such as Engineering Manager
• Comprehensive understanding in designing scalable and efficient system architecture.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• High-level project management skills.
• Advanced knowledge in any of:
• Front-end and mobile app languages: Vue, React, HTML5, CSS, React Native.
• Back-end languages and cloud infrastructure: Java (Spring Boot), Typescript (Nest JS), MySQL, AWS Cloud, queueing infra (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS SQS), caching infra (Redis, Memcached). 
• Advanced knowledge in Git
• Able to do performance benchmarking and monitoring
• Experienced in software development lifecycle best practices
• Able to communicate effectively with other engineers, stakeholders, and management
• Passionate about building high-performing engineering teams with great culture
• Passion for mentoring engineers and helping others achieve their career goals
• Able to influence people not just within engineering, but also cross-functionally with product, quality, infrastructure and beyond.

• Ability to do deep problem solving and build elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems
• Worked in a startup-like environment with high levels of ownership and commitment
