Requirements:

1. A bachelor's degree in Bachelor environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability, waste management, or a related field is typically required.
2. Knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
6. Proficiency in using waste management software and tools.
7. Certification or training in hazardous waste management may be required, depending on the industry.

Responsibilities :

1. Waste Assessment: Conduct waste audits to assess the types and quantities of waste generated by the organization.
2. Waste Reduction Planning: Develop and implement waste reduction strategies to minimize waste generation through source reduction, reuse, and recycling.
3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about local, state, and federal waste management regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.
4. Recycling Programs: Design and manage recycling programs, including the collection and processing of recyclable materials.
5. Waste Disposal: Coordinate proper disposal of non-recyclable waste, hazardous materials, and electronic waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
6. Waste Collection Contracts: Manage contracts with waste collection and disposal service providers, negotiating terms, evaluating service quality, and optimizing cost-efficiency.
7. Employee Training: Educate employees and staff about proper waste handling, recycling practices, and the importance of sustainability.
8. Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to waste generation and disposal, tracking progress toward waste reduction goals.
9. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on waste management activities, compliance, and sustainability metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
10. Environmental Impact Assessment: Assess the environmental impact of waste management practices and recommend improvements to reduce carbon footprint and resource consumption.
11. Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with sustainability teams to integrate waste management into broader sustainability strategies.
12. Emergency Response: Develop contingency plans and procedures for managing waste during emergencies or environmental incidents.
13. Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities in waste management practices and implement efficient waste disposal methods.
