About the Opportunity

The Activities Manager will be the face of the Kaura Bali experiences. Kaura is a unique immersive, community-led experience, facilitated from a premium tented, retreat site, located in Manggis Village, northeast Bali (Karangasem). This role calls for someone who is truly passionate about connecting guests with local culture, while ensuring that they have the best experience possible.

Location: Manggis Village, Karangasem Regency, Bali

Main Responsibility

• Help guests to plan and arrange activities
• Establish and maintain relationships with key members of the local Manggis community
• Coordinate the operation of activities in surrounding villages (e.g. massage and traditional treatments, village walks, a-day-in-the-life-of-a-farmer experiences, biking, hiking, waterfalls, etc.)
• Assist in the development of experiences that are both culturally authentic and fun
• Assign and roster community guides – assist with the development and training of community guides and experience hosts
• Help guests arrange transportation and other logistics
• Ensure all activities run safely and smoothly
• Participate in product and sales training for sales partners and travel agents

About You - Qualifications and Experience

• Fluent in Balinese and English
• Willing to relocate to a somewhat remote area of Bali for a minimum of 1 year and embrace local life
• Experience in operating and coordinating activities – guest relations or front office experience
• Ability to execute activities for guests, leveraging a group of community guides
• Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to prioritise tasks and multi-task
• Ability to work well with the property General Manager, while still demonstrating high levels of autonomy
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to consider challenges from multiple perspectives and to find a mutually acceptable solution
• Proficiency in MS O365
