PROFILE SUMMARY

The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that the appropriate supplier base of raw materials/packaging materials portfolio is developed and managed to ensure that business expectations are met in terms of price, service, quality, technical support and time to market.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Development and implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement processes for a defined portfolio of raw materials/packaging materials; this includes needs analysis, market analysis, tracking price trends, competitive tendering, contract negotiation, cost structure analysis and development, implementation, cost optimization projects and reviews
2. Develop and recommend the annual budget for one's own portfolio and deliver against the procurement annual budget
3. Achieve optimum cost while ensuring high level of quality/service and the compliance to delivery targets
4. Support the business in the resolution of severe/recurrent quality or service issues
5. . Identification and implementation of cost saving projects that involve suppliers or purchased materials
6. Keep a sound and ethical relationship with supplier and motivate suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer
7. Collaborate with the global procurement team in terms of supplier information/local price trends/market information
8. Closely follow relevant commodity prices and currency impact on portfolio
9. Support NPD/EPD projects by tapping sources of new RM / PM; arranging samples for trial and calculating COGS

 QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum holds a bachelors degree in business, Industrial Engineering, or other related.
2. Having at least 3 years of experience in relevant industry with 2 years of experience in managerial position.
3. Have a strong understanding on financial management principles.
4. Computer literate, preferably proficient in operating excel, JDE, ARIBA, ANAPLAN and SAP.
