We are currently seeking a Field Technical Support Engineer in Jakarta

Job Purpose 

• Responsible to provide technical support for ifm's solutions during the whole sales process as well as after sales 

Job Description / Responsibilities 

• Work closely with sales engineers and customers to support the sales process for ifm's solutions. Support will include product presentations, validating solutions with customers during proof of concept, troubleshooting technical problems and providing ongoing sales support. Example: Commissioning and training of both customers and sales engineers 
• Apply a comprehensive understanding of ifm's complete line of products including principle of operation, functionality and benefits and application feasibility. This will build customer confidence and enable you to proactively identify and resolve technical application challenges 
• Maintain technical documentation to include engineering drawings, reference material and application data 
• Need to conduct training on products and applications
• Make joint calls with ifm sales team to build their confidence and help to "close" the business 

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelors / Diploma degree in Electrical / Industrial / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics / Instrumentation
• Minimum 3 years and above practical hands-on experience preferably in the areas of technical problem solving and controls architecture related to industrial controls and automation technologies
• Good in verbal and written business communications skills in English & Bahasa to effectively interact with all levels of our organization and customers
• Strong proficiency in programming languages used in PLC or SCADA platform development 
• Good in communication, presentation, interpersonal, computer, writing and technical problem-solving skills
• Strong team player and customer oriented
• Able to travel up to 30% of working time including international travel for sales visit and to ifm regional offices
• Possess car driving license (SIM A) is preferred
