- Risk Management Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with lending, borrowing, and other financial transactions on the platform.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and assess risk factors. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and proactively address potential risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to P2P lending. Ensure the company adheres to regulatory standards, providing guidance to internal teams to maintain compliance.
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate creditworthiness of borrowers, assess loan applications, and establish risk-based pricing strategies. Collaborate with the underwriting team to make informed lending decisions while maintaining a balanced risk portfolio.
- Fraud Prevention: Develop and implement fraud detection and prevention measures. Work closely with the technology and security teams to identify and mitigate potential fraudulent activities.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk assessment reports to senior management and stakeholders. Clearly communicate risk findings, trends, and mitigation strategies to relevant parties.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and technology, to integrate risk management processes into various business functions. Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Holding a risk-related certification is required (e.g. BSMR, CRP)
- Proven experience in risk management within the financial services industry, preferably in P2P lending.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to P2P lending and financial risk management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex risk concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently to drive results.
