Job Description:

As the Quality Control Manager, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of services and facilities across all our surf camps. You will be a crucial part of our management team, setting quality control standards and guidelines that align with our brand's mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and SOPs designed to ensure continuous production and service that align with established standards.

2. Conduct routine and non-routine checks and analyses of the quality control trends within each camp.

3. Participate in regular reviews of operations at each camp, ensuring that each one operates to the highest standards of quality and efficiency across the departments.

4. Work closely with the operational team to identify potential areas for improvement and implement strategies to improve performance.

5. Conduct training sessions for camp staff on quality control measures and standards to ensure a thorough understanding and compliance.

6. Address and resolve complaints related to quality control aspects.

7. Review statistical data from processes to identify patterns and trends that can lead to improvement in overall camp operations.

Areas of responsibility:

1. Services: Oversee and improve the quality of services provided to guests. This includes additional recreational activities, customer service, etc.

2. Facilities: Monitor the quality of physical spaces such as accommodations, communal areas, recreational spaces, dining areas, and the cleanliness and maintenance of these areas.

3. Food Quality and Safety: Responsible for overseeing the quality, presentation, and safety of food served at the camps. This includes adherence to food safety standards, menu selection, dietary accommodations, and feedback on food service.

4. Staff Training and Conduct: Ensure the staff at each surf camp location are trained according to the highest standards, from surf instructors to customer service representatives, and that they consistently demonstrate professionalism.

5. Environmental Impact: Monitor and manage the camps' adherence to environmental best practices, minimizing their environmental footprint, and promoting sustainable operations.

6. Customer Feedback: Manage and analyze customer feedback to identify areas of improvement in terms of service, facilities, food, or overall experience.

7. Supply Chain: Ensure the quality of products from suppliers, including food and maintenance supplies. This includes verifying that suppliers are following best practices and meeting contractual obligations.

The Quality Control Manager will play a hands-on role, proactively identifying potential issues and implementing solutions, to ensure that all aspects of the surf camps meet or exceed the high-quality standards associated with the Kima Surf Camps brand.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control position, preferably in a hotel, resort, or similar establishment.

3. Excellent attention to detail.

4. Demonstrated ability to manage and guide teams.

5. Strong knowledge of quality control standards and practices.

6. Proven track record of improving operational processes and efficiencies.

7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. Must be willing to travel to various camp locations as needed.

9. Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS) is a plus.
