Job Qualifications:

1.       A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Cost Professional, Certified Management Accountant) can be advantageous.

2.       A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or a similar role within the food and beverage industry is required.

3.       Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, including its cost drivers, supply chain, pricing structures, and industry regulations.

4.       Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis.

5.       Advanced skills in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and familiarity with financial management software.

6.       Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex data and extract actionable insights.

7.       Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, present findings, and provide recommendations to management.

8.       Ability to work collaboratively with different departments, such as operations, procurement, and finance, to gather information and streamline cost control efforts.

9.       Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

10.   Awareness of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards related to cost control and financial management.

Job Description:

As a Cost Control Specialist in the food and beverage industry, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the organization, ensuring optimal cost management practices, and contributing to overall profitability. Your key responsibilities will include:

1.       Collaborate with relevant departments to develop budgets and forecasts, and track performance against targets. Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

3.       Monitor inventory levels and valuation to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize carrying costs.

4.       Prepare regular cost control reports, highlighting key findings and trends. Present findings to management and suggest strategies for improvement.

5.       Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance cost control procedures. Implement best practices to drive operational efficiency.

6.       Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate terms to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.

7.       Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to cost control and financial management.

8.       Work closely with various departments to gather data, understand cost drivers, and align cost control efforts with overall business objectives.

9.       Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to bring innovative solutions to cost control challenges.
