JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Payable Accounting Manager oversee and manage accounts payable functions, including disbursements, vendor relations, and reconciliations, with the goals of increasing A/P efficiency and improving AP processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Responsible for the day to day management of the accounts payable team;
  2. Review, code, and verify vendor invoices
  3. Review approved invoices for vendor payment;
  4. Process or oversee invoice and oracle payments;
  5. Maintain and update A/P and vendor files including the payment term;
  6. Track and analyze vendor expenditures;
  7. Monitor outstanding vendor commitments and vendor SOA (Statement of Account);
  8. Oversee vendor accounts, including communicating with new vendors to set up account information, responding to payment questions, and managing vendor account details;
  9. Provide excellent customer service, manage and maintain good relationship with the internal and external stakeholders, in particular our key suppliers, close working coordination with internal department on vendor payment issue.
  10. Projection (Month/ Week/ Actual Comparison / Update Control Sheets)
  11. Month end AP reporting / Aging Report/ Prepayment Report/ Intercompany reconciliation
  12. Review and monitor Weekly IAP report / Dispute Report / Reassigned & Follow up IAP Invoice
  13. Liaise with other internal department/SSCI in following up any issue/dispute in payment
  14. Comply with Principal’s policy
  15. Assist in other business office functions, such as budgets; general ledger reporting, audit, and other duties, as assigned
  16. Conduct regular meeting with share service center and internal department (including Operation/ Logistic/ Cost control)

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Level of Qualification:

  1. Minimum 4-7 years professional experience in multinational companies, preferably in the shipping / logistics industry
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent, qualified accountant or equivalent experience

Professional Skills:

  1. English fluency
  2. Excellent presentation, effective communication skills.
  3. Oracle/SAP experience desirable, familiarity with IT systems and issues
  4. Knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles and federal award regulations
  5. Relevant accounts payable knowledge and experience of control account reconciliations

Personal Qualities:

  1. Strong leadership, team leader, high integrity
  2. Highly motivated, result oriented individual with organization skills and ability to solve problems
  3. Attained to detail and analytical mind
