Lowongan Senior Sample Prep Techinician (Sulawesi Selatan) di PT Sgs Indonesia

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Achieve and maintain a high quality of work
• Deliver international level standards in safety and quality control
• Ensure efficient work flow through in the sample preparation section
• Ensure safety compliance at all times

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Receiving samples from courier or client representative and ensure chain of custody receipt paperwork is completed
• Sorting samples into numerical order and check against the client sample submission sheet, for missing or extra samples
• Assign sample ID to missing or extra samples received (if any), and sign / date the sample submission paperwork
• Deliver the sample submission paperwork to coordinator or supervisor for generating job number
• Perform all steps in the Sample Preparation process as per SOPs and/or specific instructions given by the coordinator or supervisor
• Maintain test sieve records (QC sizing) and balance verification. Provide this data to the supervisor on request
• Perform all required maintenance on the sample preparation machine to ensure smooth operations
• Report immediately to coordinator or supervisor if any machines are malfunctioning
• Cleaning the work area at completion of sample preparation job
• Ensure a clean, tidy and efficient work area in your section and report other areas which are not displaying good housekeeping practices
• Storage / disposal of the reject samples
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by Coordinator to support the division activities
• Report any perceived hazards and risks in the workplace and make suggestions for improvement
• Follow mine safety rules based on Mining Safety Management System / Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Pertambangan (SMKP)
• At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures
• At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

PROFILE 

• Minimum high school or vocational school
• Preferably 1 year experience in minerals sample preparation

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Capable of and able to work as a team
• Able to work independently
• Capable of and able to socialize in the preparation
• Capable of and able to work under pressure
• Able to operate computer and a minimum of Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a remote location as part of the “on-site” lab team
• Able to interact with all levels of the laboratory team
• Works well under pressure, challenges status quo
• Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity
