Position: School Counselor

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing a range of academic, emotional, and social issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for supporting students' holistic development.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and create personalized counseling plans.
• Organize and facilitate workshops and programs that promote mental health awareness, social skills, and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
• Act as a resource for students and parents, offering guidance on academic planning, college and career readiness, and personal growth.
• Stay up-to-date with current counseling techniques, educational trends, and relevant resources to enhance student support services.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• State certification or licensure as a School Counselor (if applicable).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to create a safe and supportive counseling environment.
• Experience in working with diverse student populations and addressing a variety of student needs.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
• Proficiency in using technology and counseling software for record-keeping and communication.
