Some of your duties will include:
- Manage the employee benefits program, including negotiating with benefit providers and ensuring that benefits are competitive and cost-effective.
- Develop and implement employee wellness programs that promote employee health and wellbeing.
- Manage the HR information system and ensure that employee data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop and implement succession planning strategies to ensure that the company has a pipeline of talent to fill key roles.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's culture and values.
- Monitor HR trends and best practices and make recommendations to senior management on how to improve the company's HR practices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that HR is seen as a strategic partner to the business.
- Manage HR audits and compliance reviews to ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement diversity and inclusion strategies that promote a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training programs for employees, including health and safety training, technical skills training, and leadership development.
What skills and experience do you need?
- 7+ years of HR management experience in a complexed mining industry/company, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Experience developing and implementing HR strategies and policies that align with business objectives.
- Experience managing talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance programs.
- Experience managing budgets and expenses related to HR functions.
- Experience working with senior management and department heads to develop and execute HR programs and initiatives.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead and develop a team of HR professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Proficiency with HR technology and systems, including HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including federal and state labor laws, EEO laws, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of best practices in HR management, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of the mining industry, including the technical skills required for mining operations.
