Qualification & Responsibility:

Electrical engineer plays a critical role in overseeing the electrical systems, controls, and automation that are essential for the efficient and safe operation of the spray drying process and associated equipment. Here are the key responsibilities of a senior electrical engineer in a spray drying factory:

Electrical engineer in a spray drying factory is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems, controls, and automation that drive the spray drying process. Their role contributes to the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of spray-dried products.

The candidate will assist and reporting to the General Manager (Factory Manager).

Minimum D3 or S1 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 

Minimum working experience of 5 years in the related field.

Good understanding English in writing and speaking as well as computer illiterate.

Good leadership and analytical thinking.

This position is open for Bogor & Pontianak area, willing to be located in Pontianak will be highly prioritized.

Here are the key responsibilities of a electrical engineer in a spray drying factory:

1.    Electrical System Design and Maintenance: Electrical engineers are responsible for designing, selecting, installing, and maintaining the electrical systems that power and control the spray drying equipment. This includes electrical panels, power distribution, wiring, and motor control systems.

2.    Process Control and Automation: They design, implement, and maintain control systems that regulate various aspects of the spray drying process. This includes developing and programming PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) interfaces, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor and control the process variables.

3.    Instrumentation Selection and Calibration: Engineers select appropriate sensors, transmitters, and instruments to monitor parameters such as temperature, pressure, humidity, and flow rates within the spray drying process. They ensure accurate calibration and functionality of these instruments.

4.    Process Optimization: They work to optimize the control algorithms and automation settings to achieve the desired product quality, particle size, and yield. This involves fine-tuning control parameters and responding to changes in operating conditions.

5.    Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Electrical engineers ensure that the electrical systems and controls meet safety regulations and industry standards. They implement safety interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, and other measures to prevent hazards and ensure safe operation.

6.    Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: When electrical or control-related issues arise, they diagnose problems and troubleshoot issues in the control systems, automation, and electrical components. They develop solutions to address malfunctions and downtime.

7.    Maintenance Planning: Engineers develop maintenance schedules for electrical systems, controls, and automation components. They oversee routine maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to prevent system failures and disruptions.

8.    Integration and Communication: They ensure seamless integration between electrical systems, controls, and other components of the spray drying process. This may involve integrating data from different subsystems and enabling communication between control devices.

9.    Documentation and Record Keeping: Engineers maintain accurate records of control system configurations, programming, maintenance activities, and modifications. This documentation aids in troubleshooting, auditing, and future upgrades.

10. Energy Efficiency: They work to optimize the energy consumption of the electrical systems and controls. This may involve implementing energy-saving measures, such as variable frequency drives (VFDs) for motors, to reduce power consumption during different operating conditions.

11. Training and Support: Engineers provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of the electrical systems, controls, and automation. They offer technical support and guidance to troubleshoot issues effectively.

12. Continuous Improvement: They lead initiatives to improve the reliability, efficiency, and functionality of the electrical systems and controls. This includes identifying opportunities for automation enhancements and technology upgrades.
