The birth of the first generation design was concentrated in developing the Broadband Wireless Access chipset using the standard IEEE 802.16d-2004 issued by WiMAX Forum. As the next standard and technology became available, xirka went ahead and developed the IEEE 802.16e-2005 mobile WiMAX and continue to develop chipset for smart card both for RFID and NFC technology. xirka's dedicated efforts produced high-end technologies such as:

xirka is fully capable to start from the very beginning in researching and developing new technologies, up to the very end of the cycle where innovations crystallize into physical products. Our dedicated engineers evaluate and break down complex systems into simpler DSP/PHY system models. These models then work as our base for designing SOC system architectures which are further translated into RTL codes using VHDL, Verilog, or System C hardware language. FPGA prototyping is done for further testing as well as designing our own system test and verification to ensure that our design works with the various real-world hardware constraints. Our ASIC engineers will then design front-end and back-end ASIC physical design according to the standard GDSII format before putting the whole design onto wafers. Completing the design circle, we also design our own MAC layer software for higher versatility of our products.

Having developed WiMAX, we have grown our expertise in complex wireless system testing. Designing various test scenarios and system verification for our own testing enables us to handle RCT, PCT, and IOT well. In our recent venture into smart card we also designed our own testing circuits based on the international testing standards. As a full solution, our team also provides a range of reference kits and SDK to help customer get a quick start on using our products.
